Where She Went happens three years after the Mia’s accident that took the lives of her parents and younger brother. Both Adam and Mia have now separated ways, Mia is now an aspiring cellist artist while Adam is now a rock star.I’m a big fan of contemporary books and this is not an exception, I really love If I Stay and after reading this all I can say is that Adam Wilde is just one of the few characters you’d really love to be with! This books has been heart breaking cause of the fact that Adam doesn’t really know why Mia left her. After a few years they met and he likes some answers. Because it was Adam’s POV it made me see how he was really affected by how Mia left him and it wasn’t really easy because she left without saying anything. It’s refreshing to read his perspective of things because you really know how he really loves Mia and that he still loves her despite what she’s done.
Mia on the other hand is so cruel for not letting him know why she left him without a word, I honestly want to slap her! She has the lamest reason ever for leaving Adam. But after she explained what happened I finally understand her, she can’t take what happened to her parents. She was left alone with no one and that Adam made her stay. I still don’t like the reason why she left him but I understand that she was hurt and the pain is unbearable and not even Adam can handle the hurt she was feeling. After all that has been said and done, Mia was reliving her life, on what she have done and realized that Adam was worth staying for and that she loves her and he loves him very much. She has overcome the lost of her parents and younger brother with the help of Adam. I really love the fact that Adam is rekindling there love story from high school, the fact that she wants to win and make Mia fall in love again is really so romantic.
Gayle forman has been one of the few authors that I really admire, it was a good installment for the series, I’m still wondering if there’s a part three. If there is a next book I’m very sure to read it!
