My thoughts?

Okay so the first thought that came to my mind when I reached the last part of the books was, “That was it? Are you serious?” Clearly, I’d like some more of it. The book is great. I love it.

It was a little funny that when I was reading the book, I was thinking about the apocalypse that will supposedly happen this year. But no I am not a believer or anything. And aside from that, I was also thinking of that ancient city in Italy called Pompeii after the Mt. Vesuvius eruption. Yeah, did I mention I also got a liking to the male protagonist, Alex, because we are also a little alike in our fondness of History? And it’s pretty cool that a nerd like him can also fight.

I have read stories about survival and the like and I couldn’t grow out of it. This book is fast paced and you just had to ride your skis so you won’t be left with the flow. Why skis? Well read the book and you’ll get what I mean. Anyway as to the journey our hero has taken to find his family, I couldn’t stop myself from worrying about him actually. And the thing with this novel is it isn’t anything like you could just imagine from out of nowhere. It can seriously happen. And at some point, it’ll just come to you like this Ashfall would be in the near future. This is too realistic.

But aside from that all real stuffs of course, as a young girl with raging teen hormones, I get excited every time there’s a moment between Alex and Darla. Darla is a tough girl. Alex is the ever understanding and caring taekwondo blackbelter of a boyfriend. And you couldn’t just not love them together.

If other people had those times when they couldn’t put the book down or stop reading, I also have those moments when I just wanted more. It didn’t even occur to me that what I was reading at the last part was really the end. Seriously, I feel like there should be more. I’ve grown to love Alex and his adventures. This one is a five star book and check out the label for a five star on the right side of this blog and you’ll understand more of what I mean.
